This
1920s detached stone built villa overlooks the Bay of Lannion, there being
sea views from most windows. With its own lawn, ample paved parking area,
and enclosed gardens, Bellevue lies alongside the coastal road between
St. Michel and Locquirec. Just across the road there is another lawned
garden leading onto the beach. On the ground, but elevated floor there
is a good-sized kitchen, wc and a magnificent dining room with full sea
views. Next to the dining room is a reasonably sized lounge, again with
full sea views!

The
first floor has 3 double bedrooms and a large bathroom with a bath and
a separate shower cubicle, wc, and wash basin. The second floor has two
single bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and the furniture is of
a high standard with many period pieces. The decoration is tasteful and
elegant and the house is very light.
On
Your Doorstep
Just over the road
are miles of sandy beaches and fine coastal walks. There is wind sailing
available at the St.Efflam sailing school plus other sports facilities.
Bikes can be hired in nearby Plestin les Greves and there is horse riding
nearby. Just twenty paces away is a restaurant with a 'vue sur mer' and
a larger hotel restaurant 5 mins walk from the house.

The nearest supermarket
is at Plestin some 3/5 mins by car. Up the hill from St.Efflam and first
turn right gets you onto the 'corniche' (coastal road) to Locquirec. Before
getting to Locquirec look out for the Camping Hortensias (hydrangeas)
and take the first right into the parking area. Below this are steps down
to delightful sandy coves with the sea in sight most of the day. From
these coves one catches the first sight of pretty Locquirec.
LOCQUIREC THE
JEWEL OF FINISTERE'S RESORTS
Locquirec is a fabulous
little port and seaside resort with a good choice of restaurants, cafes
and summer entertainments. The latter includes: sailing regattas; Breton
dancing and music evenings with bagpipes and trumpets! Most activities
are in the open air around the harbour.

If you pass the
church and the post office you should catch sight of the path that gives
a short 20 min walking tour around the cliffs on the edge of the town.
You will also see the lovely surfing beaches but beware of the rock stacks!
ST.MICHEL
Going
north of St Efflam and skirting the Bay of Lannion will soon get you to
St. Michel en Greves with lovely cliff walks. There are good restaurants
at St. Michel. From the Bay road one could go to Lanvellec and Rosanbo
Chateau - a memorable and completely restored chateau.
LOCQUEMEAU
This has a wilder
aspect to it than the Pink Granite Coastal resorts with vast shingle beaches, and
vertical jagged rocky foreshores! There is a sandy beach called Notigou
Plage and a fine headland walk.
THE PINK GRANITE COAST
The Pink Granite
Coast is a magnificent spectacle and starts near Lannion at Trebeurden
and stretches around through Tregastel, Ploumanach and Perros Guirec

.All these resorts
are worth visiting as they have amazing geology and a variety of man made
attractions including: planetarium; sea aquarium,; space telescope and
museum; golf courses.Ploumanach is the epicentre of the volcanic wonders
and has a great selection of restaurants and menus from 12 euros. The
Pink Granite Coast beaches are beautifully white and sandy and the sea
is exceptionally blue. The smartest beach resort is at Trestraou Plage,Perros

An equally beautiful
but quieter one is to be found at Trestignel, again within the Perros
boundary. From Perros Guirec. There are boat trips to the Sept Iles nature
reserve and even the Channel Islands! Lannion is worth a day visit especially
to its Thursday all day market. It has brocantes near the Leguer Bridge
and a medieval heart but also a collection of fine hypermarkets!
A 30 MINUTE JOURNEY
The list of must
see sights are endless but should include medieval Treguier and the Route
d'Ajoncs that leads around the magnificent Pointe du Chateau.

Also the Iles de
Brehat are a fine day out and could also take in the ancient port of Paimpol.
Pontrieux, its port and the staggering La Roche Jagu Chateau is another
splendid day out.

BRETAGNE EN FETE!
Everywhere there
are music festivals and colourful dancing scenes and processions of musicians
plus full-scale concerts with a variety of European performers e.g. The
Fetes des Hortensias at Perros Guirec in August. The Fete des Cocos is
another festival and is held at Lannion.

Circular
Walks
There is a folder
of circular walks at the house with photocopied maps. These walks start
from the house and offer great sea views and 3 of these 3hr walks are
literally on your doorstep!
